The aim of the project is to provide every eligible Indian living outside India an electronic platform to present his football playing talent directly to the scouts of India's U-17 World Cup team.

OFFICIAL EMBLEM LAUNCHED FOR FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP INDIA 2017
The organising committee of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 unveiled the official emblem for what will be the country’s first international football event. SAI & AIFF LAUNCH ONLINE PORTAL FOR OVERSEAS SCOUTING
The online portal of the SAI - AIFF Overseas Scouting Project was launched in the presence of Honourable Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Shri Vijay Goel. Through the portal - scouting.the-aiff.com - eligible Indian players living outside India can directly present their playing video to the SAI - AIFF scouts. For full news click here
SAI - AIFF OVERSEAS SCOUTING PROJECT LAUNCHED IN DUBAI
The scouting team led by Mr Abhishek Yadav kicked off the overseas scouting project with a pilot in Dubai
between 9 - 12 June. The trials attracted 240 talented players in the holy month of Ramadan.
BOYS BRAVE THE JUNE HEAT AT THE SAI - AIFF OSP DUBAI TRIALS
From the 240 registered players, the scouting team shortlisted 55 players for round II that included a
practice match against The Indian High School U-18 team. After the practice game, the list was further narrowed to 18 players,
who would play a practice match on 12 June evening against a local U-19 team at the JSS Private School ground.
TALENTED FIVE PLAYERS SHORTLISTED FOR FINAL ROUND OF TRIAL FROM DUBAI
Five players were shortlisted at the trials held in Dubai under the overseas scouting project.
Depending upon the requirements of the team, the players will be asked to report to the India camp for a final round of trials.
The five shortlisted boys with ex-India captain Abhishek Yadav.
SCOUTING TEAM PRESENTS INDIA JERSEY TO HE MR ANURAG BHUSHAN,CG DUBAI
The SAI - AIFF scouting team led by Mr Abhishek Yadav & Mr Mohammad Ali (right) met with HE Mr Anurag Bhushan,
Consul General, Dubai & presented him an India jersey. Mr Bhushan assured the SAI - AIFF team of all the support necessary
for conducting scouting projects in UAE.
